Hi!

Welcome to my website!
I am Victoria Díaz,
an English into Spanish (Castilian) translator.
I specialise in audiovisual translation
and I love my job!

I have always loved languages. My degree in English Studies during the so-called Golden Age of TV series led me to study a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Translation. A few years of experience later, I already have more than a hundred projects under my belt. I have subtitled and carried out quality control for several well-known VOD companies on projects as diverse as The X-Files, Clerks, Parks and Recreation, The Alienist or The Adventures of Puss in Boots (you can see more in the projects section).

I’m familiar with the conventions and style guides of the audiovisual world, and I always research and read up on terminology before any project to ensure it will have the quality its audience deserves.

I am a professional member of the Spanish Association for Audiovisual Translation (ATRAE), the UK Subtitlers’ Association (SUBTLE) and the Spanish Society of Modern Languages (SELM).

Furthermore, thanks to my studies and hobbies, I have other areas of expertise:

Videogame, app and website localization
