Experience

Over the past few years, I have worked on a wide range of genres and formats. As you can imagine, that requires a certain level of curiosity and creativity: depending on the day, I might have to be an expert on a musical genre for a documentary, come up with a pun to keep that joke Leslie Knope made, or research scientific terminology for that autopsy Scully is doing.
I’ve had the chance to work as a team with really good translators, so I know about the importance of glossaries, style guides and final proofreaders to ensure consistency in the final product.

Audiovisual translation experience:

Subtitle translation.
Spotting or time-cueing of subtitles.
Subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing (SDH).
Proofreading and quality control of subtitles.
Transcription for subtitle template creation.
Videogame localization.

I’ve worked for several well-known VOD companies (whose names I can’t say due to NDAs) on adult and children TV series, films and documentaries of all kinds. You can see (almost) every title in the projects section.

Other areas:

I’ve translated texts for diverse companies and organizations (Telltale Tours, Cine Actual, Ayni…) about history and tourism, literature and linguistics, education, cinema, etc.
